Ellen A. J. Verschuur-van der Voort, an attorney, litigator, and breast cancer activist, is vice president of the Dutch Breast Cancer Association and president of the Europa Donna Forum, Netherlands. She is also co-editor of the booklet, Quality Criteria for Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer From a Patient Perspective.

Active in a number of capacities, Ms. Verschuur-van der Voort is a member of the committee to establish Pink Ribbon Month in October, the National Cancer Plan Cancer CareWorking Group, and the expert team for the project Mammacarcinoom. She participated in the European Breast Cancer Conference in Barcelona in 2002 and in Hamburg in 2004 and presented at the Europa Donna Conference in 2001 in Milan. She was also a co-organizer for a training course for breast cancer advocates in 2002 and 2003.

Ms. Verschuur-van der Voort received a master's degree in Dutch law as well as a master's degree in Scandinavian languages from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
